The Truth War (Thomas Nelson), In our day, many
in the church have bought into the lie that truth is
relative. "Emerging church" leaders encourage
Christians to embrace uncertainty. John MacArthur
presents a compelling defense of absolute truth in
this excellent book.

Trusting God (NavPress) Adversity is hard to
understand and endure. If God were really in
control, why would he allow a tragic accident or
a crucial job loss? Born out of an effort to
strengthen his own trust in God during a time
of adversity, Jerry Bridges book will benefit anyone
struggling to trust God.

The Lord Our Righteousness
(Soli Deo Gloria Ministries),
Obadiah Grew (1607-1689) presents a tremendous
study of the doctrine of the imputed righteousness
of Christ.

Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church
(Zondervan), D.A. Carson has offered an excellent
scholarly critique of the "Emerging Church." He sees
more good in the movement than I can see, but he
accurately sees the dangers of this movement.

The Battle for the Beginning-Creation, Evolution
and the Bible
(Thomas Nelson)
John MacArthur has written an excellent
apologetic defending a literal (six day) understanding
of the Genesis account of Creation.
