Sunday February 17, 2019 Lord’s Day Preparation

Dear Children of the King,

 This week we will be blessed to hear from James Dolezal. James is going to be bringing one of my favorite passages of Scripture which will be a wonderful time in God's Word and a great opportunity to grow together in the power of our most holy faith. Make sure you plan on joining us as we gather.

 This week we'll be looking at Psalm 19. A brilliant text that looks at both God's General Revelation and His Special Revelation. In addition to these incredible themes there is a multitude of vivid aspects of creation, salvation, and many other wonderful treasures.

My usual guidance for studying the Scripture is to read the passage through several times to get the sense and write down repeated and key themes that present themselves to you as you read. Then go back and go through and look up all the cross references from the verses. This process will give you a wonderful idea about the texts which we're studying.

Our songs for the morning will be:

Praise to the Lord, The Almighty, #2;

I Sing the Mighty Power of God, #26;

Holy, Holy, Holy, #48;

How Great Thou Art, #5.

Please take time to listen to and sing these great hymns with your family in preparation for the service. The hymnals are available for purchase at church if you so desire.

(Free Downloadable MP3 files are also available at Hymns of Grace to familiarize your family with the music)

Please take some focused time to prepare for our worship by reading and studying our text from God's Word, studying the hymns which we'll be singing, and spending time in prayer for all the elements of the Lord's Day and the needs of our blessed church family.

Please consider the following ways to better use these details to prepare for our corporate worship.

1. Read the texts over the next couple of days & pray through them.
2. Gather with the family (wife/children) and read the texts to them ahead of time, talk through it.
3. Consider the lyrics to one (or all) of the songs listed in the weekly email of preparation)
4. Think of gathering together with another member/family from The Master's Church to prepare together (e.g., Sat night, Sunday brunch) and pray for the service, the sermon, the building up of the flock, power in preaching)
5. Study the texts suggested from the pulpit as additional devotional material and make them part of your weekly reading (Psalm 19, Psalm 119).

May the Lord richly bless your study and preparation as we come together to serve Him

Sunday February 10, 2019 Lord’s Day Preparation

Dear Church family,

 Jonathan Master is teaching this weekend and it is going to be a wonderful time in God's Word as we come to glorify our great God and Savior. Make sure you plan on joining us as we gather.

 Here are our worship details for this week's services. This week we'll be looking at Daniel Chapter 2. This text focuses on so many wonderful attributes of God, such as His omniscience, omnipotence, and sovereignty. It also helps us see how important is the vital element of prayer, and reinforces for us that the goal of our lives is to bring glory to God. You can see the texts I'd suggest you read and consider alongside of these great themes in preparation for this message at the end of the email.

 Our songs for the morning will be:  Immortal Invisible, #36; How Firm a Foundation, #364; I Love Thy Kingdom Lord, #352; On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand, #423… (complete letters through our email updates)

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2019 LORD’S DAY PREPARATION

Dearly loved of the Lord,

 The Lord gave us an exceptional day of worship last Sunday as we launched in our new facility at the Council Rock Senior Center in Richboro. It was a time of wonderful singing and honoring Christ with the reading and teaching of His Word. I pray that all of you who attended were as encouraged as I was, and those that were not able to attend will be able to do so this upcoming weekend. Matt Tarr is teaching this weekend and it is going to be an excellent time of worship that you will not want to miss.

 Here are our worship details for this week's services. This week we'll be looking at several texts of Scripture, but primarily Philippians 2:1-18. This text focuses on the important element of unity within the church and those things which help build unity as well as those which are contrary to this vital element of the church. Please read through these verses as well as those highlighted at the end of this email and consider what other sections of the Bible the Lord brings to mind during your reading. If you have time, go to those Scriptures and use all of this as you consider our time together on the Lord's Day afternoon.

 Our songs for the morning will be: Before the Throne of God Above, #187; Come, Behold the Wondrous Mystery, #184; In Christ Alone, #177; All Glory Be to Christ, #133…(for complete letters please sign up for our weekly email)

May the Lord richly bless your study and preparation as we come together to serve Him

Sunday January 27, 2019 Lord’s Day Preparation

Dear Congregation of The Master's Church,

Here are our worship details for this week's services. It is my prayer that you will look at our text and the hymns for this week and use them as a devotional and preparatory materials as we prepare for our wonderful first Sunday at 3:30 P. M. in the new facility at the Northampton Senior Center in Richboro. The Lord has been doing great things through these preparations, as He always does, and we want to be ready to worship Him with all our hearts and souls.

 This week we'll be looking at 2 Chronicles 5-7. This text examines King Solomon's dedication of the temple and will serve as a great place for us to focus our thoughts as we consider what the Lord has in store for us as we seek to minister to His chosen people here in Buck's County and to one another. Please read through these chapters and consider what other sections of the Bible the Lord brings to mind during your reading. If you have time, go to those Scriptures and use all of this as you consider our time together on the Lord's Day afternoon.

 Our songs for the morning will be: Great is Thy Faithfulness, #86; I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord, #352; Take My Life and Let it Be, #37; My Heart is Filled with Thankfulness, #374. …( for complete letters please sign up for our weekly emails)

May the Lord richly bless your study and preparation as we come together to serve Him.
