What can I expect?
We know that going to a new church for the first time can be intimidating.
We want to help make your first experience at The Master’s Church a great one! Here is some helpful information.
What is a service like?
In our worship service, the following elements take place: worship through singing using the Hymns of Grace hymnal, public Scripture reading, a pastoral prayer, and the expository preaching of the Word of God. We celebrate communion the first Sunday of each month. We normally teach from the New American Standard Bible. We also recommend the English Standard Version (ESV) and the new Legacy Standard Bible as excellent English translations.
How long is the service?
Our adult Sunday school class begins at 9:00 AM lasts 60 minutes and our worship service beginning promptly at 10:30 AM is generally 90 minutes. Between Sunday School and the Worship Service we have a time for fellowship, along with coffee, tea and snacks.
How do I get more involved?
The best way to get to know TMC is to begin to attend our various events and get to know our people and teachings. Newcomers are encouraged to attend both Sunday School and our Worship Service on Sunday mornings. There are small group studies and numerous other events posted throughout the year, and we encourage you to take advantage of as many of these offerings as you are able.You may want to sign up to receive the weekly e-mailed bulletin providing you with the most up to date information.
Do you have a cry room or a place for nursing mothers?
There are a few places we can offer if you need privacy. Let us know ahead of time so that we can prepare it for you.
What about my children?
During the worship service at 10:30 we offer nursery for our youngest attenders, ages 5 and under. There are always two workers and all our caregivers have been through the state requirements for volunteers working with children and vetted by our elders. We also offer Junior Church for ages 5-10 on the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s. (beginning 9/10/23)
Children of all ages are welcomed in our worship service. We encourage parents to encourage and train their children to worship as part of the church, and we offer small activity aids to help the youngest remain in the service with their parents.
Unfortunately, due to our current facility and volunteer limitations, we don't offer a staffed nursery during the Sunday School hour. To assist parents of little ones, we offer a space that parents may use as needed.
